We had a history lesson as you may on Jesus this month being it was the celebration of His birthday and we talked about what it would have been like to live when Jesus lived, so one day when it was fairly nice out I took her to a barn on a friends property and we discussed how Jesus was born in a barn instead of a hospital like children are now. We also had a friend who had just had a baby so we got to go the hospital as well and see what it was like and how being born in a barn and being born in a hospital differed.

As a social studies activity this month we gathered up some old toys and clothes we then divided them up according to we would give them to, my daughter got to decide who she wanted to give her toys to and I decided where my stuff was going to be taken. We then loaded the car up one day and we out to deliver our gifts, this was a great way to teach generosity and to help those in need.
