A few weeks before school began, we would purchase school supplies and store them in a box to look at periodically.  We went to play at the school play yard to help build the momentum for “what to look forward to.”  We planned a play date with a new friend that would be in the class.  I tried to “plant seeds” of things to look forward to in order to ease any anxiety there might be in starting school, or a new school.
