As I grew up, we lived near an apple orchard.  In the fall, we would make a point to go by and enjoy some fresh apple cider; as well as purchasing some fresh apples to eat.  It was a real treat to go out in the field and pick one of the pumpkins they were growing as well.  When my son was young, I would make a point to take him to a place that was similar to the apple orchard so he could enjoy the smells, sights and sounds of “fall.”  It brought back wonderful memories for me through the experience.
